I've been finding that the lambsquarters in my quinoa field have narrower stalks and smaller seed heads. I couldn't tell the difference between the two when they were sprouting. Later in the season, as the quinoa develops seed heads, the leaves on my plants start to yellow, but the lambsquarter leaves stay green. The quinoa leaves on maturing plants also seem to be broader than the lambsquarters. When looking at the field from a ways away, it is easy to see the difference, but when you get in there to weed, it seems to get more difficult to tell the difference.

Yes Kevin I agree with your observations. I couldnt describe to you the differences when they are sprouting but year after year I am starting to just *see* the difference - but i'm not always right : )
